First of all, you might be thinking "what a weird thing to call themselves". Well, let us explain - there's a reason and it's quite funny!

This Old Bird originated from what was supposed to be a quick phone call between a mother and daughter but lets be honest, those calls are never that quick. Our O.G., also known as the old bird, was ramping up her excitement with her brand new Cricut machine. She pondered for months on what to actually make and ordered an extensive amount of supplies yet still had no idea WHAT to make. After what seemed like thousands of tutorials, google searches and Facebook groups, she was finally on her way to creating some pretty neat projects. Business was good and new ideas were hatching. It was during that phone call that a question was asked: "what should I call my business?. Without skipping a beat, the daughter said "Old Bird". Now that Old Bird wasn't sure if she should laugh or be offended but knew that it was all in good fun. She accepted her fate and later that day decided to add her caricature drawing to the body of an animated chicken! The image was shared with multiple friends and family, all of which thought it was hilarious - and something people would remember. So there you have it, the story of This Old Bird.

But wait a minute, how did the chick come into play? 

​

It wasn't until months later that The Old Bird was in her coup, creating new projects of course, that the idea was brought up to add a new member to the flock. Introducing "The Chick". Now don't forget, this is a mother daughter duo! They were able to find an older caricature and incorporated it onto an animated chick body. Suddenly, The Old Bird was reborn and let me introduce you to This Old Bird & Her Chick.

We still don't know that age old question of what came first, the chicken or the egg but in our case, it was definitely the bird!
